Protein powder

This example of packaging design by Protein World shows how basic layout and simple typography can be impactful to the target audience. The heavy use of white helps to communicate an image of purity and clean eating, while the contrasting hints of yellow and light brown help to focus the viewers attention to the visual representation of the flavours and the effects it has. In this case by highlighting the words 'weight loss' on the cover the audience can immediately understand the effects this particular protein powder has.

This example of a healthy eating vegan cook book also utilises the use of limited colours. By using mainly purple and green colours for this cover design it is possible to communicate to the viewer ideas of 'clean eating'. The use of green in particular, has worked well in communicating an image of nature and growth, making it appropriate to the context of the publication. The majority of the colour used in this cover however, is mainly from the image provided in the background. By allowing the colours of the photograph to centre the cover, the food in the image can communicate to the viewer the types of recipes to expect.
