Studio Brief 1 - Art Fund peer review

Discussion with peer about further ideas that could help to develop the project further.

- Could experiment with different art forms that are found within a gallery
- Use pop art, constructivism, abstract etc.
- Most likely option to pursue would be the dating option for students.
- The colour scheme could be applied based on the genre of art that is used in the design.

1. Did you communicate your idea effectively?
- The partner effectively analysed the brief and came up with their own take on it. This allowed them to share ideas of how they would solve the same problem through the use of a graphic design format. Discussion with the partner then allowed for solutions to the current stage that the project is in, including where to take it from this point.

2. What could have been improved?
- Demonstrating on paper what the idea might look like, could have been one way to help the partner understand exactly how the design would look had the brief been taken by me. It would also allow for  the partner to reference this when it comes to what inspired them to choose the particular design aesthetic.

The best option at this point would be to revisit the brief and look back at the ideas that came about at the start of the project. This way it will be possible to reimagine a campaign theme and direction in which to take to appeal to the intended audience. As discovered already, the response to the questionnaire proved that many people go to galleries as a means of being inspired in some way. Discussion with my peer brought about another idea, as many of the respondents didn't consider galleries as an area for dating. Therefore, the best option may be to pursue a campaign that attract students to galleries by taking a someone on a date.
